Cavan Digital Hub

Project Description


This project consisted of a high standard fit out of existing office space to create a new digital hub building.

This fit out of 1228m2 over five floors created new open plan office space, private office space, boardrooms, training rooms, canteen areas, break out areas and reception areas. The fit out consisted of complete mechanical & electrical services, stud walling, ceiling finishes, complete loose and fitted furniture, glazed partitions and screens along with extensive signage & graphics.

The unique building features included bespoke fitted furniture, meeting pods, detailed wall graphics and glazed partitions.

The building was located within a restricted site in an existing industrial estate with all coordination with adjoining businesses and Health and Safety issues successfully managed by our site management team.

Liam Rodgers Centre

Project Description


This project comprised of the construction of a high spec new Build community centre and sports hall with ancillary accommodation. This modern purpose-built facility includes a 620m2 sports hall, with 4 badminton courts and a basketball court, and a 560m2 building with ancillary accommodation across two floors. The two separate buildings are joined by two link corridors.

The sports hall was completed by a specialist contractor with the lightweight structure manufactured in Canada and built onsite under the guidance of the Canadian company, Sprung Structures. There was a lengthy lead in time of 18 weeks from order which was managed successfully by our management team.

The adjoining ancillary accommodation building provided shower and changing rooms, umpire rooms, reception area, meeting rooms, a tea station and seating area together with public toilets all of which were fitted with varying types of floor, ceiling and wall finishes to accommodate all the varying potential uses this building would incur.

A car park with capacity for 80 car parking spaces was also constructed along with extensive signage installations, complete landscaping works, railings, and footpaths.

The unique building features included the extensive rainscreen cladding to the external façade, Sprung Structure sports hall, Juncker sports flooring, sports grade linoleum and suspended battened ceiling finishes.

Páirc an Dúin, Cavan

Project Description


This large residential development comprising of the construction 72 no. houses completed to a turnkey finish along with the complete site development works.

The development, of 28 no. 3 bed semi-detached and 44 no. 4 bed semi-detached 2 storey dwellings, are all constructed using a timber frame with external brick and plaster finishes.

St. Micheal’s School, Trim

Project Description


Construction of a new 1300m2 special needs unit consisting of six classrooms over a two storey extension to the rear of the existing school.

Work was completed over a phased basis with Phase 1 providing for the construction of an entrance haul road and a temporary school playground. Phase 2 involved the main extension works to include the construction of additional classrooms along with ancillary accommodation including occupational therapy room, para-educational room, central activities space, multi-sensory room, safe place, and a new GP Hall. Phase 3 consisted of the demolition of existing prefabs to facilitate the formation of a new car park and hard play areas.

Building unique features include a glazed curtain walling entrance lobby, acoustic suspended ceiling with concealed grids, impact absorbing vinyl flooring, a lift installation, grey water harvesting system and bespoke motorised roof lights.

Swellan Park, Cavan

Project Description


This project comprised of the construction of a large housing estate consisting of 21 no. high end houses on a green field site.

Comprising of 19 no. 4 bed detached and 2 no. 5-bed detached 2 storey dwellings completed to a high standard turnkey finish, the houses were constructed in traditional concrete build with masonry block walls and precast first floor construction.

The project included complete site development and extensive landscaping of the estate ahead of completion.

CoWorx Building, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford

Project Description


This former bank, a landmark and protected building in the town centre, which sat idle for numerous years, was spectacularly brought back to life in a project that included conservation works to the original building and a new extension to the rear. The 3-storey building now comprises of meeting rooms, a podcast room, canteen areas, office areas and WC facilities.

Conservation works that were carried out in the original building included repairs and thermal upgrades to the building envelope using fully breathable specialist boards and lime-based renders. Conservation repairs were also carried out to the main roof and existing windows.

The part two-storey, part single storey new extension to the rear and side of the property facilitated the installation of a new lift.

The complete fit out was completed across the three floors to a high spec with unique building features including bespoke fitted furniture, meeting pods and detailed wall graphics.

Roselawn Health Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15

Project Description


An existing health centre within a busy urban area was completely refurbished and configurated to provide consultation rooms, administration areas, staff canteen, office space, new reception and waiting areas.

The project with a total floor area of over 2200 m2 was completed over numerous phases while the health centre remained fully operational. Phase 1 entailing the refurbishment of existing toilet areas. Phase 2 involved the complete refurbishment of the southern half of the building. Phase 3 then followed with the refurbishment of the northern half of the building.

The energy efficiency of the building was greatly improved with a full window and rooflight replacement along with the upgrading of the external wall building fabric. Extensive joinery works were completed which included a new bespoke reception area, office shelving and IPS units.

Extensive external works were carried out concurrent to these phases which included the formation of 60 additional car parking spaces, new paved footpath areas and extensive landscaping.

Harbour Row Medical Centre, Longford

Project Description


The construction of a two-storey retail pharmacy with a single-storey medical centre to the rear of the building, located along a busy, restricted site within Longford town centre.

The steel frame structure was finished to a high spec both internally and externally. Some of the external building features included zinc cladding and roofing, white brickwork and fibre cement cladding boards and extensive landscaping within the courtyard.

Internally, specialist finishes included a reception desk with curved glazing and lighting detail and glazed feature walls within the main lobby and WC areas.

Ballyjamesduff Fire Station, Co. Cavan

Project Description


This project comprised of the construction of a new two appliance bay fire station and training drill tower.

This two-storey building included 2 no. appliance bays, muster room, drying room, meeting rooms, offices, kitchen, and WC facilities. Specialist equipment was installed as part of the work including vehicles exhaust and drying room systems.

The four-storey standalone training drill tower was constructed of RC walls to the lower level and steel frame and cladding to the upper floors. The tower was fitted with fixed ladders and flowflorge open steel flooring at each level. The drill tower sits within a concrete training yard which includes an underground RC water storage tank.

Lisdarn Lodge, Cavan General Hospital

Project Description


This community staffed residence home, located within the grounds of Cavan General Hospital underwent a complete refurbishment which included the reconfiguration of the internal layout. The existing historical building also received a small extension as part of the works.

New ensuites were formed within each bedroom while the building fabric was also enhanced to improve the buildings energy rating. The works also included refurbishments to improve kitchen areas, communal rooms and improved staff areas and facilities. A complete upgrading of buildings mechanical and electrical systems also formed part of the works.

The sunroom extension completed to the rear of the building included the construction of a new patio area.

Maternity Ward, Cavan General Hospital

Project Description


Refurbishment works were carried out to several rooms within the maternity ward at Cavan General Hospital. These included both patient rooms, a quiet room and works to corridors. All the works completed within the live hospital setting.

Refurbishment works included the complete strip out of the existing room finishes with new flooring, ceilings, joinery items, loose and fitted furniture, and mechanical & electrical works, part of the fit out that was completed. New medical trunking and medical gas lines were also fitted as part of the works.

Each room was finished with a feature wall of colourful vinyl artwork using suitable washable products to meet the infection control requirements within the hospital.
